Norwich City 6-3 Wakering
Wakering Walking Football Club’s went out of the National Cup following a titanic struggle with old adversaries, Norwich City at Carrow Park.
Two early goals from the Norfold outfit left the villagers with a mountain to climb. However, Dave Willis reduced the arrears with a well-struck dead-ball effort, while defensive duo, Paul Pinch and Simon Dixon kept the Canaries at bay for the remainder of the opening period.

But Norwich was able to extend their advantage after the restart, triggering a terrific response from Wakering. Kevin Bantin and Paul Tregent found the net, while Bantin hit the frame of the goal in the final stages as the Essex side looked to pull off a remarkable victory.

However, in extra time, it was Norwich who took the initiative. Wakering was forced into changes and while their rhythm was unsettled, Norwich added three further goals to progress into the third round following a cracking cup tie.
