Brentwood High Street reopens after early hours disturbance

Police are appealing for witnesses following reports of a disturbance in Brentwood.

Officers were called to High Street shortly before 2.30am today, Saturday 11 December.

Two men in their 20s were found to be injured and they were taken to hospital for treatment.

Brentwood High Street was closed to traffic into the morning whilst investigations were carried out but has now reopened.

Detective Inspector Tony Atkin, from Brentwood and Loughton CID, said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who was in High Street at around 2.30am and who witnessed this disturbance to get in touch with my team.”

Witnesses should call 101 and cite incident 181 of December 11.
