Vanarama National League strugglers, Southend United have confirmed the sacking of manager, Phil Brown and his assistant Craig Fagan.
The pair were relieved of their duties following the Shrimpers 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Chesterfield at Roots Hall Stadium – Their sixth defeat of the season, leaving them hovering just above the relegation zone.
Brown and Fagan’s departure was announced immediately after the final whistle. Blues begin the search for their fifth manager in four years.
