Butterworth keen to monitor Rovers’ progress

Harlow Town v Great Wakering Rovers – Friendly Match – The Harlow Arena – Saturday (3pm) – Preview

Having witnessed his side exposed to the considerable attacking threat posed by both Dagenham & Redbridge and Hornchurch, Great Wakering Rovers boss, Steve Butterworth believes he will get a clearer picture of where his side are when they visit Southern League Harlow Town on Saturday.

Rovers have shipped fourteen goals during those two previous outings. However, Butterworth insisted there were positives to be taken from the first hour against the Urchins.

“This is a perfect opportunity to get a better look and a clearer picture against a team from a similar level,” the Rovers boss told Yellow Sport.

“It will be tough. Harlow thrashed Tilbury – one of the favourites in our division – It will be interesting to see how we get on, what we have learned and taken on board during the earlier warm-up games.”
