Canvey names new mayor

Cllr Doreen Anderson has been appointed as Canvey Island’s Town Mayor for 2022/23.

Cllr Anderson, a town councillor for Canvey Island North Ward was elected at the town council’s annual general meeting on Monday May 23.

Cllr Nick Harvey is deputy mayor.
