CCTV appeal following card fraud in West Horndon

Police have released a CCTV image of two people they want to speak to in connection with a fraud investigation in West Horndon.

It was reported a woman in her 80s had received a call from someone claiming to be a police officer on October 11, stating someone had been arrested for fraud using her bank card details.

The person said they would arrange for someone to collect the bank card for ‘court’.

Later that same evening two people attended the address and collected the bank card.

The cards have subsequently been used to a four-figure sum.
