Chalkwell Lifeguards Club volunteers back on the water

Following advice from British Canoeing and The Royal Life Saving Society, Chalkwell Lifeguards Club has been able to reopen for volunteer members to be able to resume their kayak and boat patrols along the foreshore after having been away for three long months.

Members embarked on their return kayak patrol paddle between The Crowstone at Chalkwell Shelter and Bell Wharf at Leigh-on-Sea on Wednesday June 10.

It was a rainy first paddle back, but the guys were still out on patrol doing their best to serve the local communities’ safety needs along the shore during these difficult times.
