VITALITY BLAST CHAMPIONS, Essex Eagles, have significantly bolstered their ranks ahead of the 2020 campaign with the signing of Australian all-rounder, Moises Henriques.
The 33-year-old, who has represented Australia eleven ODI’s nad the same number of T20 international matches. He has also represented the likes of Sydney Sixers, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Daredevils and Sunrisers Hyderabad das well as Surrey and Glamorgan during a successful career.
Essex Head Coach, Anthony McGrath, was clearly thrilled to add Henriques to his squad, explaining to www.essexcricket.org: “I’ve been following Moises’ career for a while now and I think he’s exactly what we need going into this year’s Blast campaign.
“He’s been excellent in the IPL and was instrumental for Sydney Sixers in their recent Big Bash success. His runs got them over the line on plenty of occasions and it’s clear he’s an excellent leader too, so I have no doubt he’ll be a great fit in our dressing room.”
Meanwhile, Henriques was equally pleased heading to the Cloudfm County Ground, adding: “I’m delighted to be joining Essex Eagles for the Vitality Blast.
“The opportunity to join the reigning Champions and the challenge of defending the title is something I’m really excited about.”
