Due to essential resurfacing works Rochford District Council will be temporarily closing Cherry Orchard Jubilee Country Park car park from Sunday July 11.
Works are estimated to take 13 days to complete, subject to weather, and the car park plans to re-open to motorists again on Saturday July 24.
Rochford District Council’s portfolio holder for IT, tourism, housing and parking, Councillor Daniel Efde, said: “The council has made ongoing improvements to the country park and to the car park itself, and it is good to see the continuation of this with the resurfacing of the car park entranceway soon to take place.
“We recognise Cherry Orchard Jubilee Country Park is an important and popular spot for our local residents and visitors to enjoy. Maintaining and improving the facilities is essential to keep this beautiful open space safe and accessible for all visitors”.
