Mark Molesley has continued to shape his Southend United squad with the loan signing of midfielder Kyle Talor from AFC Bournemouth.
The 21-year-old will remain with the Roots Hall Stadium outfit until January. Yet to make a league start at the Vitality Stadium, the player has appeared twice for the Cherries in Emirates FA Cup encounters as well as gleaning League Two experience during a six-game loan spell at Forest Green Rovers.
Speaking to www.southendunited.co.uk about the move, boss Molesley enthused: “I’m buzzing to finally get signed. Driving up today I was so excited and I can’t wait to get started.
“It’s been a quick turnaround. There’s been a bit of interest and then yesterday and today it finally got done.
“I think knowing the gaffer here will help me settle in really quickly. It’s amazing to have a manager who has belief in you and that can only help in training and in games. It really gives you the confidence to go and do what you do best.”
Taylor is available for Southend’s clash with Morecambe at Roots Hall Stadium (3pm).
Meanwhile, Blues have announced that striker Emile Acquah has put pen to paper, extending his current deal until the end of the 2020/21 season.
“I’m very happy it’s all done now and I’m looking forward to getting back playing again,” Acquah explained.
“The new manager has come in and brought a lot of positivity and I wanted to be part of that and try my best to make an impact.
“It matters more when you’ve been at the club for so long. I’m very proud to get first-team appearances and get minutes and that’s what I want more of.
“The experiences over the last couple of years have helped me massively so the more experience I get the more I will improve.”
