Chingford man charged after fatal collision in Loughton

A man has been charged following the deaths of two people in a collision.

Sophia Khan, 16, and Max Halcrow, 21, both from Loughton, were passengers in a BMW M3 that collided with a tree on Goldings Hill, Loughton, on August 24 last year.

Two teenage girls were also seriously injured and were left with life-changing injuries.

Kane Faulkner-Wild, 22, of Connaught Avenue, Chingford, has today been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving; two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving; two counts of causing death whilst uninsured; and two counts of causing death by careless driving whilst over the drink driving limit. 

He is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on December 16.
