CHELMSFORD CITY have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of impressive frontman, Alex Teniola, from local rivals, Heybridge Swifts.

Teniola found the net twenty times for the Swifts during the last campaign and offers Robbie Simpson extra firepower as he looks to construct a squad capable of challenging at the top end of the Vanarama National League South.

Speaking to www.chelmsfordcityfc.com about the signing, boss Simpson enthused: “I am really excited to sign Alex.

“He is a consistent goalscorer in the prime of his career and I am really glad to give him the opportunity at the National League South level.”

Teniola – who has also represented the likes of Tonbridge Angels, Concord Rangers, Aveley and Brentwood Town – was equally delighted with his move to the Melbourne Community Stadium, adding: “I am delighted to be on board for the 2020/21 season and I know it sounds cliché but I genuinely can’t wait to get going.”
