Harrogate Town v Colchester United – Sky Bet League Two – The EnviroVent Stadium – Saturday (3pm) – Preview
Ray Crawford expressed his delight after Junior Tchamadeu’s late strike provided Colchester United with three precious Sky Bet League Two points against promotion-chasing Tranmere Rovers. However, the former U’s frontman called for caution, insisting that the job isn’t done just yet.
“It was a fantastic result,” Crawford told Yellow Sport.
“I was happy enough with 0-0 against a very good Tranmere side, but Junior has popped up right at the end and all of a sudden we are in a far better position.
“We need to be cautious though. Oldham and Rochdale both won during the week. The gap is eight points. I think a win and a draw from here will be enough, but we don’t want to get dragged back in and be involved in the final few weeks of the season. I can see it going to the wire. I just don’t want Colchester to be a part of it.”
The U’s now head to midtable Harrogate Town, who returned to winning ways at rock bottom Scunthorpe United at the weekend: “It’s a case of doing the same again,” Crawford added.
“Show a bit of resolve, stay in the game and take a chance if one comes our way.
“I think the spirit will be lifted off the back of that win last weekend. I’d be happy with a point and think we are more than capable of getting one.”
Ray Crawford’s prediction: Harrogate Town 1-1 Colchester United
Jeevesie’s prediction: Harrogate Town 0-0 Colchester United
