Daggers edge five-goal thriller

Dagenham & Redbridge 3-2 Solihull Moors

Dagenham & Redbridge came from behind to see off ten-man Solihull Moors in a thoroughly entertaining Vanarama National League encounter at the Chigwell Construction Stadium.

Looking for back-to-back victories, the Daggers were dealt an early blow when Jordan Cranston handed Solihull Moors an eleventh-minute lead. However, George Saunders and an Angelo Balanta penalty turned the game on its head before the interval.

Matt Robinson appeared to have made the game safe five minutes after the restart, while the visitors’ problems deepened when Tyrone Williams was given his marching orders fourteen minutes from time.

Adam Rooney pulled one back in stoppage time for Solihull but it was a case of too little, too late for the visitors.

Dagenham & Redbridge return to Vanarama National League action on Saturday, April 24 when they take on King’s Lynn Town at The Walks (3pm).
