Daggers need to rediscover their sharpness

Dagenham & Redbridge v Wrexham – Victoria Road – Vanarama National League – Saturday 3pm

DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing Emirates FA Cup exit at Carshalton Athletic, as well as a three-match winless Vanarama National League sequence when struggling Wrexham are the visitors to Victoria Road on Saturday.

The Daggers have been off the boil of late, slipping away from the play-off places as they struggled to replicate their early-season form. Nevertheless, with just eight points separating Dagenham – in twelfth place – from leaders, FC Halifax Town, another run of victories would inject life into the east Londoners promotion aspirations.

Visitors Wrexham currently occupy one of the relegation places following an inconsistent start which has seen them win just three of their seventeen National League matches to date.

The Welshmen are without a win in four and will undoubtedly be feeling the pressure having been expected to sustain a push for a return to the Football League.

Dean Keates recently returned to the Racecourse Ground as manager after the club parted company with Bryan Hughes. However, so far Keates has been unable to turn around their flagging fortunes.
