Damage caused to cars and houses in Billericay

Police are appealing for information after reports of criminal damage in Billericay on Thursday October 3.

They received a number of calls that the windows of cars and houses had been damaged between 10.20pm and 10.50pm last night.

The incidents took place in the Beams Way, Mill Road and Crays Hill areas of the town. The suspects were believed to be travelling in a van and using a catapult to cause the damage.

Officers carried out a thorough search of the area but the suspects were not found. Patrols will be stepped up in the area over the coming evenings following these incidents.
