Deadly Daggers close in on the top seven

Dagenham & Redbridge 3-0 FC Halifax Town

Dagenham & Redbridge moved within four points of the Vanarama National League play-off places with an emphatic three-goal victory over FC Halifax Town at the Chigwell Construction Stadium.

The Daggers have now won seven of their last eight league outings and never really looked in trouble against a Halifax side that started the day in the top-seven.

Mauro Vilhete fired the home side ahead just after the half-hour mark. Then, Paul McCallum added a second, heading home a pinpoint centre from Will Wright, in first-half stoppage-time.
