Dispersal order for Maldon and Chelmsford

A dispersal order will be put in place in Maldon and parts of Chelmsford over the bak holiday weekend following concerns about anti-social behaviour in the area.

The order gives officers the power to disperse people they suspect may cause issues later on.

It does not prevent residents or visitors being in the area, but allows officers to disperse anyone behaving antisocially and keep members of the public visiting the area safe.

The area, pictured, encompasses most of the Maldon and Danbury parishes and the main river network for the river Chelmer from Chelmsford to Maldon.

It will remain in place from 8am on Friday August 25 until Sunday August 27.
