A dispersal order has been put in place in Old Leigh following reports of anti-social behaviour this afternoon, Thursday December 31.
The order covers the area outlined in the map shown above, which includes the Old Leigh area and Leigh Library Gardens.
It came into effect at 4:45pm this evening and will be in place until 6am tomorrow (Friday January 1).
The dispersal order to reduce the likelihood of further anti-social behaviour and to prevent any crime and disorder in the area. This order means that our officers are able to move people on where necessary.
Officers will be in the area, but if you witness any criminal or anti-social incidents taking place, please call 101. Always call 999 in an emergency.
