Police executed three warrants on Friday September 3, in a joint operation led by the South Disruptor Team.
Supported by colleagues from Basildon’s Community Policing Team, the Operational Support Group and dog section, the South Disruptor team halted a cannabis cultivation in Russel Gardens, Wickford, and seized suspected class A and B drugs in Rochester Way, Basildon.
In total, the seized drugs have an estimated value of £130,000.
A 37-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with the production of cannabis.
A 34-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of cannabis production, the possession of class A and B drugs and abstracting electricity. He has been released under investigation.
A third man, 37, was then arrested on suspicion of the production of a controlled drug and theft of a motor vehicle. He has since been released under investigation.
Officers couldn’t carry out these warrants without your help – if you believe someone is involved in the production or supply of drugs in your area, please report it.
