Police have released an e-fit following an assault in Shoebury last month.

The victim, a woman in her 30s, was in Friars Park with her dog and her children shortly after 4pm on Tuesday April 7.

One of them threw a frisbee, which flew near to a man who was also in the park. He began being verbally aggressive to the victim, which escalated to him grabbing her by the throat.

A brave witness broke up the assault and has been assisting police since the incident.

The alleged assailant has been described as being white, around 5ft 6ins tall, with dark blonde hair and is believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s.
