E-fit released after distraction burglary in Basildon

Police have released an e-fit of a man they would like to find following a burglary in Basildon.

Officers received reports at around 2.10pm on Saturday January 11 where two men had distracted an elderly woman in her home in Gordon Road before stealing jewellery and hundreds of pounds in cash.

The jewellery is estimated to be worth a five-figure sum and has been described as being a large diamond cluster ring, a single stone diamond ring, a gold locket and two gold chains.

The suspect in the e-fit has been described as being 6ft, aged in his 20s and with long, dark brown wavy hair. He wore a black bomber style jacket and dark trousers.

The other suspect has been described as being 5ft 7ins, had swept back grey hair and he also wore a black bomber style jacket and dark trousers. He was possibly aged in his late 20s or early 30s.

Police would like to hear form anyone who recognises this man or saw anything suspicious.
