Elderly man injured in Prittlewell collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man in his eighties was struck by a van that failed to stop.
The incident happened on East Street, Prittlewell, at around 11pm last night, Saturday March 12.
A dark-coloured small van entered East Street from the direction of Priory Avenue where it collided with the pedestrian, aged 89. The van then drove off without stopping.
The pedestrian suffered serious injuries including a fractured shoulder and he remains in hospital.
Officers would like to hear from anyone in the area at the time who may have seen the collision or the van and its driver. They are also keen to hear from anyone who may have dash cam footage either of the collision itself, or of the van in the area at around 11pm or anyone who may have any CCTV footage which can help.
