Enquiries continue into 2017 disappearance as man is released with bail conditions

A man aged in his 70s, who was arrested on Tuesday, June 13 on suspicion of murder has been released with bail conditions.

The arrest was made as part of an ongoing investigation into the disappearance of 64-year-old Patricia Finnie from Southend six years ago.

Patricia hasn’t been seen or heard from since May 11, 2017, after going to visit a friend in Riveria Drive and her disappearance is being treated as a homicide.

Officers from Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are continuing enquiries and this week, have been carrying out search activity at Hockley Woods.
