Entrepreneur James Sinclair has been announced as the first keynote speaker at the Brentwood Business Showcase on October 5.
The Brentwood Business Showcase is back for its sixth year. The event is attended by hundreds of visitors and is supported this year by headline sponsor, Tees.
Brentwood Borough Council hosts the annual networking event at The Brentwood Centre and has invited established businesses, budding entrepreneurs, and charities in Essex to come along to promote their businesses.
James Sinclair, went to school in Brentwood and is well known as a successful businessman, entrepreneur, author, and speaker. He started his career as ‘Jimbo the partyman’ aged 15, after leaving school and earning over £120K a year as a children’s entertainer.
As the founder and CEO of the Partyman Group, he went on to create an entertainment agency. After that, he had his first play venue, laser arenas, day nurseries and outdoor venues. Now the business includes childcare, leisure and web-based soft toys, training, and the iconic Rossi ice-cream.
After investing in marketing and more growth in himself, James grew his business into the multi-million success story that it is today. His business now turns over £20 million and employs almost 1,000 people. Along his business journey, James developed a passion as a speaker and educator, helping others to climb the ladder to success.
James Sinclair said: “I’m delighted to be speaking at this year’s event – there’s so much to talk about to other businesses, who are facing challenging times after the events of the past few years.
“Many businesses are concerned about the economic downturn and are not sure what they should be doing right now. During hard times like these, it’s all about having the right mindset, getting the right support, and not giving up. I’ll be addressing some of these issues and others and I would like to thank Brentwood Borough Council for inviting me.”
The showcase provides an opportunity to network with over 90 exhibitors. There will be other inspirational speakers and people can attend informative workshops, visit the Sustainability Zone, and enjoy a complimentary drinks reception.
Leader of Brentwood Borough Council, Councillor Chris Hossack, said: “I’d like to welcome James Sinclair as this years’ main speaker, and I’m pleased that he’ll be taking to the stage and addressing some of the concerns that matter most to business owners. Many businesses are looking to move on from the tough challenges of the past two years and this Showcase is a great place to start.
“We are looking forward to seeing everyone returning along with new people, businesses, and charities to network, support local and regional trade and promote Brentwood as the place to do business and locate to. People coming to the event can find out more about how to grow and innovate their business in 2022 and beyond.”
The Brentwood Business Showcase is also supported by silver sponsor, Howe Chartered Surveyors, and Sustainability Zone gold sponsor, Zest Recycle.
Entry is free. Tickets for the event are available on the website: www.brentwoodbusinessshowcase.co.uk
