Essex begin Blast defence with Middlesex test

ESSEX EAGLES begin their defence of the Vitality Blast trophy with a visit from old adversaries, Middlesex later this month.
Middlesex visits the Cloudfm County Ground on Thursday, August 27 for a South Group clash. The top two from each group guaranteed a place in the quarter-finals, while the two best third-placed sides will also progress, with Finals Day scheduled for Saturday, October 3.

Essex Eagles ten Vitality Blast fixtures (to be played behind closed doors) are as follows, with the home match, with Kent, to be played at the Kia Oval on Saturday, September 5.
