Gerald Jolly (Manager of Stanway Pegasus)
When I was asked to be the manager of a new ladies’ side it took only seconds to decide. It’s not an opportunity that comes along very often.
Right from the first friendly, it was obvious this squad could be something special. How true that turned out to be, winning the league without losing a game and getting to a cup final, all in our first season.
It hasn’t been easy. Several injuries and a few players moving on have left us struggling to put out a team at times. But due to the fantastic team spirit and never say die attitude we came through stronger and better.
We have beaten teams from leagues above us before so we go into the game with no fear and full of confidence.
