Essex County Trophy Final

Barking 2-0 Stanway Pegasus

Favourites, Barking claimed the Essex County Trophy following a hard-fought final against an impressive Stanway Pegasus outfit at Great Wakering Rovers Burroughs Park.

Emma Harrison’s brace saw the East Londoners home, although Pegasus battled gamely with Lauren Hannah and Linsey Cowell producing notable performances for the North Essex outfit.

Pegasus manager, Gerald Jolly said: “Words alone cannot describe how proud I am of them.

 “In our first season, winning the league and competing with an experienced side from three levels above us in a cup final is truly amazing.”
