Southend United CSC saw off Frontiers by three unanswered goals at Garon Park to book a Vitality Women’s FA Cup first round proper berth.

Emily Port scored two of the Blues goals:”The girls played so well in the game and everybody won their individual battles all over the pitch,” she told Yellow Sport.

“It was probably the best team performance of our season so far. Onto the first round.”

Faye Lawrence was also on target for the Shrimpers: “I thought the teams’ performance was exceptional, the group we have is special and everyone put in a shift which I am proud of,” she added.

“On a personal note, I am delighted to have got my first goal in the FA Cup in contribution to creating history for the team and am excited to see what we can produce in the first round.”
