ESSEX Police has released a CCTV image of a boy wanted for questioning after goods worth more than £1,000 were stolen from a Southend shop.

Officers are investigating the theft of items worth ‘a four-figure sum’ from Superdrug in Southend High Street on Remembrance Day.

Police said their enquiries had found the boy may have then left town on a train, meaning he may not be local.

The items were stolen shortly before 2pm on Monday, November 11.

Anybody with information or who recognised the boy was asked to dial 101 and quote crime reference number 42/179659/19.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers completely anonymously on 0800 555111.
