Essex Police seeks man over alleged bike thefts in Basildon and Laindon

ESSEX Police has released a photograph of a man they wish to speak to in connection with a series of alleged bike thefts.
The force is seeking 42-year-old John Newton over the alleged incidents in Basildon and Laindon.
The alleged offences include stealing a bicycle, worth a three-figure sum, from outside Tesco in Laindon on Friday, September 27.
Newton is 5’9” tall and known to frequent Basildon town centre and Laindon, said police.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts was asked to dial 101 and ask for Basildon police station.
