ESSEX Police is hunting two men who damaged 10 vehicles in a haphazard getaway.
Officers tried to stop a red Renault Trafic van on the A13 last Tuesday, October 15.
They made the attempt shortly before the Sadlers Farm junction at around 5.30pm.
But the van instead carried on driving onto the A130, then ran into a traffic jam on the A1245, at the Fairglen Interchange.
The van was then seen ‘weaving in and out of traffic’ before colliding with a number of vehicles as it approached the roundabout.
At that point, two men got out of the van and ran off in the direction of the A127.
PC Chris Hoy, of the Basildon Local Policing Team, said: “This happened at a busy time of day and it is highly likely drivers would have seen these two men running off. I am keen to speak to anyone who has dash cam footage or saw where the suspects went.”
Anyone with information was asked to dial 101, ask for the Basildon Local Policing Team and quote incident 914 of October 15.
