Family affair

Lindisfarne Productions present the amateur production Lion In Winter at The Dixon Studio in Westcliff’s Palace Theatre from November 22-26.

The play is set around Christmas of 1183, and is a tale of political and personal turmoil among the family of King Henry II of England, his wife Eleanor of Aquitaine, their children, and their guests.

There is treachery and intrigue around who in this dysfunctional family will inherit the throne, played with humour and drama. The spotlight is shone on the foibles of an ancient family with very modern problems.
