An investigation has been launched after a man died in a stabbing incident in Ilford.
Police were called at 9.28pm on Friday, October 9 to reports of an assault in Southdown Crescent in Ilford.
Officers attended and found a man, believed aged in his 30s, suffering from a stab injury. They immediately provided first aid. Despite their efforts, and that of the London Ambulance Service, the man was pronounced dead at the scene at 11.31pm.
A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
Enquiries into the circumstances continue.
