Just three new coronavirus deaths were confirmed at east London hospitals today as the daily death toll continues to fall.
There were two deaths at King George and Queen’s Hospital’s NHS Trust today.
Yesterday the same trust reported 13 fatalities, the second highest number of new coronavirus deaths of any London NHS trust.
Barts Health NHS Trust, which manages Whipps Cross in Leytonstone and four hospitals in inner-east London, confirmed just one new death.
Overall, there were less than 400 new deaths reported across the country, a drop from figures from the previous week.
The total number of deaths at Barts Health NHS Trust is 388 since the start of the pandemic.
At neighbouring Barking, Redbridge and Havering University Hospitals NHS Trust, which manages King George Hospital and Queen’s hospital, the total is 341.
