Old Southendian & Southchurch recorded a comfortable 59-run victory over Ossett & Thurrock, largely thanks to a five-wicket haul from Muhammad Ghani

Ghani too five for 53 as the visitors were overturned for 231. Matt Austin claimed 2/31 while Dylan Batt and Henry Williams also got in on the act. Mark Pavitt hit 63 for the visitors off 70 balls, while Lewis Lockyer fell one short of his half-century at the hands of Ghani.

Earlier, the Old Boys had posted 290/7 from their fifty overs. Jamie Casson scored 59 off 81, while both Max Craddock and Jordan Taylor passed fifty to set up the home sides’ success.
