A survey has been launched to gather feedback on Fling Festival, Chelmsford’s unique summer festival for adults.

The general public are being invited to share their thoughts and ideas to evolve the festival for its return in 2021. The short survey can be answered online until Sunday May 31 at www.chelmsford.gov.uk/flingfestival under the heading ‘Help shape Fling’.

Having attracted thousands of festival-goers over the past 11 years, it was announced last year that Fling Festival would be taking a fallow year in 2020 and returning in 2021. Alongside the survey, additional small focus groups and consultations will be taking place later this year to generate fresh ideas and stimulate conversation around Fling’s return.

Councillor Marie Goldman, Cabinet Member for Connected Chelmsford, said: “Fling Festival has been bringing unique entertainment to the festival scene in Chelmsford for many years. Now is a great opportunity to take stock of all that is special and unique about Fling and see what can be done to make it even better and more enjoyable for festivalgoers in 2021 and beyond.”

Whether you’re a regular festival attendee or new to the scene, the City Council is keen to hear all thoughts and opinions to explore new opportunities for Fling Festival next year.

The survey takes approximately five minutes to complete and is live until midnight Sunday 31 May 2020 on the Fling webpage under the heading ‘Help shape Fling’: www.chelmsford.gov.uk/flingfestival
