Flying winger Richards arrives to boost Saxons

Southend Saxons have given their London North One promotion hopes a boost with the signing of experienced winger, Tom Richards.
 
Former London Irish and Wild Geese man, Richards, impressed for the Saxons during last Friday’s pre-season victory over Bury St Edmunds, and having put pen to paper, Saxons Head of Rugby, Josh Ward, is excited to see what his latest acquisition will bring to the table.
 
“Quad’s is a great addition to our group,” Ward enthused.
 
“He’s an electric finisher and just as importantly a great guy, he’ll fit in perfectly within our group. He’s someone we’ve monitored for a while, so it’s very pleasing to secure his services.
 
“Tom has experience playing at the level we’re aspiring to get back to so his knowledge and qualities will be incredibly valuable to the boys. We’re all looking forward to seeing him out there doing his thing, working hard and enjoying his rugby with Southend at the Bridge.”
