Frustration for Moyes despite Hammers improvement

Arsenal 2-1 West Ham United – Reaction

David Moyes struggled to contain his frustration following West Ham United’s 2-1 Premier League defeat at the Emirates Stadium.

The Hammers produced an improved performance and dominated against an Arsenal side in a rich vein of form before succumbing to Eddie Nketiah’s late strike.

We are all really disappointed because we feel that our performance was good,” the Scotsman explained.

“We feel we were let down once again by decisions, very fine margins on the first goal and then the handball.

“On Saturday we had one not given as well and tonight was much the same. We aren’t using it as an excuse.

Moyes insisted he would focus on the positives despite concerns over their forthcoming run of tricky fixtures: I will reflect on how well the team did for the majority of the game.

“We came here and put in a much better performance, much nearer to the levels that we showed at the end of last season, which we are capable of. I am just disappointed because we worked really hard”
