GARON PARK will once again be hosting international cricket when the Netherlands return for their annual visit to Southend.
The Dutch – preparing ahead of the T20 World Cup later this year – will visit south-east Essex in early-May, facing an Essex 2nd XI on Tuesday 12 and Thursday 14 – in between taking on the Club Cricket Conference in a double-header on Wednesday 13.
Meanwhile, the Essex second string will be returning to Garon Park a week later for competitive T20 fixtures against Hampshire on Monday 18, then Glamorgan on Wednesday 20.
More details on these fixtures are expected to be released over the coming weeks. Meanwhile, the Southend-based venue is currently undergoing winter maintenance, with work currently underway on the scoreboard, while new covers are set to arrive, meeting first-class cricket specifications.
