A Wickford businesswoman is set to celebrate the second anniversary of her shop with a hair-raising event for charity.
Carla Watson of Watson Wigs at Unit 1, Market Lane, Wickford High Street, will have a hairdresser in store on Saturday October 5 between 10am-1pm to professionally cut volunteers’ hair which will be donated to the Little Princess Trust and the Brain Tumour Charity.
There will also be a raffle (prizes donated by Wickford businesses), a teddy table and a special guest appearance by ‘Rapunzel’.
Carla told the YA: “Since I opened in 2017 I’ve met and had the absolute privilege to hear stories from people in all walks of life about their own medical conditions and stories of their loved ones.
“Every person who walks into my shop or contacts me is unique and has a different story to tell whether it’s a sad or positive story.
“I feel so passionate about what I do and to be in a position to help raise awareness for two wonderful charities makes me very proud to be a part of that.
