Half-time at the London Stadium

West Ham United 0-0 Aston Villa

After passing up the best opportunity of the half, West Ham have largely gone through the motions during the opening half.

Michail Antonio – with eight goals in six games since the return of the Premier League – fired wide after Issa Diop had sent him clear. Since then, relegation-threatened Villa have looked the more likely with Mbwana Samatta and Jack Grealish going close.

The Hammers are safe, of course. For Villa – as it stands, they will remain in the Premier League with rivals Watford 3-1 down at Arsenal and Bournemouth – winning by the odd goal in three at Everton – still a point behind the West Midlanders.
