Hallers departs West Ham for Ajax

West Ham United have confirmed that their record signing Sebastien Haller has joined Dutch Eredivisie outfit, Ajax in a deal believed to be worth in the region of £21m.

The Ivory Coast international arrived in East London for £45m from German club Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2019 and found the net 14 times in 50 appearances for the Hammers.

However, the player – initially signed by Manuel Pellegrini – was often on the receiving end of criticism from the West Ham support following a string of inconsistent displays following the appointment of David Moyes in the Hammers hot-seat.

Moyes is expected to sign a replacement in the coming days, with AFC Bournemouth frontman, Josh King, amongst those the Scotsman is believed to be interested in recruiting.
