Hammers hit back to draw at Dundee

Dundee 2-2 West Ham United

West Ham United retrieved a two-goal deficit to snatch a draw as the East Londoners got their pre-season activity underway against Dundee at Dens Park.

The newly-promoted Taysiders – who saw off Leyton Orient by three unanswered goals last time out – went ahead shortly before the fifteen-minute mark when veteran, Charlie Adam profited from Declan McDaid’s flag-kick. And it was 2-0 eight minutes after the restart – Substitute, Paul McMullan beating Darren Randolph with a crisp effort from eighteen yards.

Jamal Baptiste reduced the arrears just after the hour, heading home following a corner. And six minutes later, the Hammers were on terms – Jarrod Bowen scoring from the spot after Ryan Sweeney had felled the former Hull City man.

West Ham United return to action on Tuesday, July 13 when they send teams to Leyton Orient and Northampton Town (both 7pm) to continue their pre-season preparations.
