Sky Bet League One outfit Leyton Orient have confirmed that popular defender Dan Happe has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal with the club.

The 25-year-old has made more than 200 appearances for the O’s since making his debut against Cambridge United in April 2017.

Speaking to www.leytonorient.cm, the player said: “Leyton Orient means a lot to me and it is like my second home. I still love playing for the club and coming into work every day, so it was a no-brainer for me to sign.

“I have seen the highs and the lows here and it feels like we are in a really positive place now. Next season is all about progress and I was really pleased that the manager signed his new contract. Him signing was a big reason that I did too because I think we work very well together.

“I’m looking forward to getting back in for pre-season training and beginning our work ahead of the new season.”

Meanwhile, the O’s will be sending separate teams to Welling United and St Albans City on Tuesday, August 16, as a part of their pre-season preparations. Both matches kick off at 7:45pm.
