Hart ready to face Gunners?

Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal – Premier League – Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – Sunday 4:30pm – Preview

Spurs are reported to be sweating over the fitness of goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, with Joe Hart ready to deputise for Sunday’s huge North London derby clash with Arsenal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The former England stopper has appeared six times for the Lilywhites in the Europa League this season but could make his Premier League debut for Jose Mourinho’s side – his 340th Premier League appearance during his eighteen-year career.

Spurs head the table while their local rivals have struggled for consistency and sit eight-points further back in fourteenth. Nevertheless, Mourinho insisted his side wouldn’t be taking anything for granted against a side undoubtedly keen to knock them off their perch.

“I think they know it,” the Spurs chief explained.

“I think everybody knows what Arsenal did recently, the way they beat Chelsea and City to win the FA Cup.

“The way they played in Liverpool in spite of defeat, the way they beat United at Old Trafford, the way they normally play against the top teams.
“The number of players they use in the defensive process. The way they go in fast counter-attacks and fast transitions.

“We all know that a derby is nothing to do with form, momentum, injuries, suspensions. It’s nothing to do with that – It’s just Tottenham versus Arsenal.”

Mourinho confirmed that he expects Harry Kane to be fit to face the Gunners, adding: “I believe he’s going to be fit.

“I’m not sure, he’s on treatment. But I could be now doing some bluff or trying to pretend that he’s in big trouble.

“He’s not in big trouble, I believe he’s going to play.”
