The consultation period, which is seeking residents’ views on the draft Supplementary Planning Document for Dunton Hills Garden Village, runs from Monday May 17 until June 28.
Residents can access an online interactive masterplan and add their ideas by writing on a pinboard. A range of exclusive youth activities are also aimed at those who are under 18. Visit the website at www.duntonhillsgardenvillage.com to find out more.
Chair of Environment, Enforcement and Housing, Cllr Maria Pearson said; “Dunton Hills Garden Village is an incredible scheme that will offer a completely new village community with all the traditional advantages of a local village but offering new ways to travel, environmental initiatives, and technology innovations for businesses and homeworking.
“ It is going to reflect and enhance the best of Brentwood and so it is imperative that residents help shape the way the village will come to life. There is a whole range of activities for everyone to take part and I look forward to seeing the suggestions and helping to bring those to fruition.”
Brentwood Borough Council has been working to prepare the draft Dunton Hills Garden Village Supplementary Planning Document to guide how development comes forward. The document has been drafted following a co-design consultation process that was undertaken last summer.
On Wednesday March 17, the Planning, Resources and Economic Development Committee agreed to undertake formal consultation on the draft document following the May elections.
Over the next six weeks there is also an option to take part by email or phone and leave feedback. The document, further information and links to all activities, can be found at www.duntonhillsgardenvillage.com
