Wild Woods Week, a week of fun activities for primary school aged children, is just around the corner.
The event in Hockley Woods, organised by Rochford District Council, will run between 10am and 1pm from July 25 – 29.
Booking is now open for an exciting range of activities.
The programme includes multiple sports and craft activities throughout the week, including fencing, parkour, soft archery, geocaching, den building, bug hunts, treasure hunts and a smoothie bike, as well as the chance to win prizes.
Community partners will also be taking part, including Fusion Lifestyle, Rayleigh, Rochford and District Association for Voluntary Service (RRAVS) and the Megacentre, Rayleigh.
Cllr Mike Webb and Rochford District Council’s recycling mascot, Max the Dragon, were joined by some of our partners at Hockley Woods to celebrate the coming fun.
Cllr Webb, Rochford District Council’s portfolio holder for Housing, Assets and Leisure, said: “We’re very excited about running Wild Woods Week this year and it is the perfect way for young families to start off the summer holidays. We have an amazing array of fun activities, but places are limited so get booking!”
The full programme for the week is available on the Wild Woods Week page.
Attendance at the event will cost £5 per child per day and must be pre-booked, whether you want to come along for one day or more.
