Home ties for O’s and U’s

Leyton Orient and Colchester United have been handed home ties at the first round stage of the Emirates FA Cup.

THe O’s were first out of the hat – Ross Embleton’s men paired with Sky Bet League Two rivals, Newport County, at the Breyer Group Stadium. Meanwhile, the U’s host Northern Premier League ouftit, Marine.

Southend United – rock bottom of the EFL – have a potentially trick trip to Vanarama National League side Boreham Wood. The Blues having been embarraced at the same stage last season by Dover Athletic.

Maldon & Tiptree put out Leyton Orient last season. This time, the Jammers will pit their wits against another League Two side, Morecambe

Dagenham & Redbridge will also face League Two opposition with Grimsby Town making the trp to the Chigwell Construction Stadium.

Away ties for the Canvey duo. Concord Rangers have an opportunity to upset the applecart when they head to League Two Stevenage. Meanwhile, Canvey Island – the last team to be drawn – face Southenrn League Banbury United.
