It has been a great start to the year for Alleyn Court pupils in the Sport’s Arena.
In January, competing against 21 of the region’s schools the Alleyn Court Cross Country team became Regional Champions for the second year in a row. This included 9 pupils qualifying for the National Finals in March, up in Sheffield.
The Alleyn Court National Qualifiers are Niamh Staunton, Bella Knight, Millie Casey, Hugo Fryatt, Remy MacDonald, Beau Stark, William Whiteside, Toby Owen and Lara O’Sullivan.
Then it was the turn of the Alleyn Court U11 boys football team to compete in the ISA Regional Football, hosted here at school.
The boys won all their groups games before beating Colchester High 4-0 in the semi-final and then Finborough School 6-0 in the showpiece final.
Alleyn Court has now qualified for the National Finals at George’s Park next month. Their team lined up as follows: Jacob Lines, Noah Heales, Charlie Burzotta, Toby Owen, Raphael Cohen and Beau Townsend.
On top of all this competition success, the school has had over 95% of KS2 pupils representing the school so far this term in netball, hockey, netball or cross country, intending to reach 100% of pupils playing sport for Alleyn Court each term.
Alleyn Courtregularly has A, B, C and D fixtures with other independent schools, such as Brentwood, New Hall and Felsted to give all the pupils the relevant level of competition and vital life experiences.
